Tell Your Children is a short film project that fuses original poetry and independent film to make a series of 4 fantastical micro-shorts (4-minute films).

With 3 live-action films and 1 animated film, we’re focusing on women in myth, legend, and faery tale.

We’re here to explore intimate moments and magical stories found in poetry and bring them to life on film.

3 live-action poetry shorts were filmed on location in Tacoma, Washington in November 2015. Accompanied by 1 animated short, all 4 films are currently in festival submission.

Emilie was awarded a grant for this film project from the Tacoma Arts Commission and 4Culture, as part of the 2015 Tacoma Artists Initiative Program award. The Project is produced by The Northwest Renaissance Poets and Zombie Orpheus Entertainment. To raise the rest of the money for film production, Emilie and her team ran a successful kickstarter campaign in September 2015.

We are still raising some funds for TELL YOUR CHILDREN that will cover assist with festival submission/attendance and publicity. If you are moved to contribute, we thank you! Every small amount really does add up!

TELL YOUR CHILDREN is produced by THE NORTHWEST RENAISSANCE, a non-profit (501c3) literary organization. All contributions made to this project are tax-deductible.
